PAC has a new Chair

The 1st Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) elected a new Chairman on July 7, 2010. 

Incoming PAC Chair

Council member Jigmi Rinzin was elected as the new Chairman of the PAC of parliament on July 7, 2010. 

He represents Pema Gatshel Dzongkhag to the National Council. He was also elected as member and first Chairman of the 1st National Committee to parliament.

He has worked as an auditor and as an official in the Anti Corruption Commission during it’s initial years of set up. He is a member of the Economic Affairs Committee of the National Council. 

Out-going PAC Chairman

National Assembly member Sonam Penjore from Kengkhar-weringla constituency in Mongar handed over the chair after having serverd as the first Chairman of the 1st PAC of the 1st parliament of Bhutan. He has had long experience in the financial system in financial institutions as an executive.
